Currently, you can see most of the programming on the channel via the Video On Demand page.

“Do I need a cable subscription to see the channels?”

No.  Although the Government and Education Channels are on Charter Cable Channel 191 and 198 respectively, the channels are streamed 24/7 over the internet and are viewable on any device.

“What kind of programming can I see?”

The Government Channel provides delayed broadcast of the Town Council meetings from the towns of Duck, Southern Shores, and Kitty Hawk, as well as the Board of Commissioner meetings from the towns of Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, and Dare County.  When meetings are not running the channel provides short video segments on a wide variety of topics about government in the county and it’s municipalities.

The Education Channel provides video segments on a wide variety of topics from the Dare County Schools, the College of The Albemarle and the UNC Coastal Studies Institute.  The local high schools provide school news on a weekly basis during the school year.  The UNC Coastal Studies Institute produces a lecture series called Science on the Sound, that covers a wide variety of topics.
